Gonzalez

Eduardo González is a human rights consultant and sociologist, specialized in transitional justice. A Peruvian national, he participated in his country’s Truth and Reconciliation Commission, at the end of a twenty-year internal armed conflict. Later, as an expert, he contributed to the establishment and operations of truth and reconciliation processes in about 20 countries, providing technical and strategic advice.

In addition to his expertise, he is an avid participant in policy debates on the intersection of human rights, democracy and peace; as well as a creative researcher and educator. He lives in New York City.

History says, Don’t hope
on this side of the grave.
But then, once in a lifetime
the longed for tidal wave
of justice can rise up,
and hope and history rhyme.
